Transport & Warehouse Efficiency Health Check
Is your operation working as efficiently as it could be?
Our Transport & Warehouse Efficiency Health Check provides an independent, expert review of your transport and warehouse operation, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, streamline processes and make better use of technology. Our experienced consultant will spend time on-site with your team, walking through your operation and understanding how your people, processes and systems work together on a day-to-day basis.
What does the Health Check involve?
- Transport Operation - We will review how your transport operation is structured and managed, looking at areas such as planning, scheduling, vehicle utilisation, driver productivity, route planning, communication and the processes surrounding your deliveries and collections.
- Warehouse Operation - The consultant will walk through your warehouse operation from goods-in through to storage, picking, packing and despatch. We are looking to identify bottlenecks, unnecessary movement, inefficient processes, capacity constraints and opportunities to improve productivity.
- People & Processes - Technology is only part of the solution. We will also look at how your teams work, where processes may be creating unnecessary effort or duplication, and whether there are opportunities to simplify or improve the way your operation is managed.
- Technology & Automation - Careful consideration is taken of all the systems and technology you currently use and we look to identify where further investments in technology could help solve other operational challenges. This could include areas such as warehouse management, transport management, route optimisation, stock control, scanning, automation, reporting and real-time visibility.
- Identifying Issues & Opportunities - Our consultant will challenge the status quo and identify areas where we believe improvements could be made. This is not about finding fault, it is about understanding why things are done the way they are and identifying practical ways to make them better.
What will you get from the Health Check?
Following the review, we will provide you with a clear set of practical recommendations, highlighting:
- Areas where efficiency could be improved
- Potential bottlenecks and operational issues
- Opportunities to reduce unnecessary time, movement or cost
- Improvements that could be made to existing processes
- Opportunities to better utilise your people and resources
- Where technology could help address specific operational challenges
- Potential areas for automation or improved visibility
- Recommendations for longer-term operational improvements
Most importantly, the Health Check is designed to give you practical, actionable recommendations, not a generic checklist!
We will focus on the specific challenges within your operation and identify realistic improvements that could make a measurable difference to the way your transport and warehouse teams work.

What Is Cold Chain?
Cold chain logistics means maintaining a stable, temperature-controlled environment from end to end - from production to final delivery. This applies to high-risk cargo like vaccines, dairy, fresh meat, seafood, and chemicals. Any break in that chain puts quality, safety, and your reputation at risk.
Your refrigerated fleet plays a vital role - and AES Fleet makes sure it performs to standard, every time.
